NEW – Easily create Dragster dropzone images

Until now creating an appropriate image for use as the dropzone in a Dragster activity has been quite tricky.  Either you needed to use your favourite image editing software (e.g. Photoshop, Fireworks, Paintshop etc) or you could use the free web based tools Snipshot and Gliffy (as described in this help movie).

Now Webducate offers a new web based service to convert existing images into images sized appropriately for Dragster activities.  Simply go to the Webducate dropzone image creator, browse to your existing image on your PC, select the appropriate version of Dragster and click Produce dropzone image. There are more detailed instructions on using this facility available on the image creator page.

Dragster 3 scorm demonstration

The Scorm 1.2 publishing option available for Dragster 3 activities allows compatible Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) to track students’ activity scores!
This short movie demonstrates the simple process of publishing a Dragster 3 activity as a Scorm 1.2 learning object. This object is then imported into a Scorm compatible Virtual Learning Environment (in this case a Desire2Learn system). Once imported the activity is taken to show how the VLE system can report on the activity score plus how the VLE can provide the participant details to the Webducate activity results reporting system.

Dragster 3 – Improved feedback authoring

Use the new Edit this target area icons to view and edit feedback target areas that you have previously defined for your Dragster 3 activities.

Additionally a link to a full-screen display of the target area authoring/editing interface is now available for users of all browsers.  This feature enables more accurate authoring of feedback target areas. (Internet Explorer users with Flash player 9 can continue to use the Fullscreen button as this provides an even larger display of the authoring interface).
