Science Learning Hub – a social network for science educators
A consultancy and development project that established a social network for science teachers based on the Elgg system. Webducate developed a theme to match the Science Learning Centre portal, assisted in the selection and use of social network tools and created a set of narrated help movies.
ICMD Blog – Elsevier, MACP, Kinetic Control
This project provided a method of reporting events leading up to and live from the International Conference of movement Dysfunction. It integrated social web 2.0 functions and allowed discussion surrounding events at the conference between delegates, presenters and organisers.
Study Success at Sussex (S3) – University of Sussex
Aiming to support and develop key student skills the highly interactive S3 website was developed with the University of Sussex. A key part of this project was enabling great flexibility in the page design, embedded videos, hide and reveal interactions, quizzes etc while employing an easy to use content management system to allow for the future maintenance and development of the site.
Making Groupwork Work – Learnhigher
An ambitious project to create a set of engaging videos with supporting learning activities and materials that focus on the complex issues in group working.
BPNA Distance Learning – British Paediatric Neurology Association
Taking an existing paper based distance learning course and developing this for on-line delivery through adding interactive activities and developing a customised Moodle VLE for delivery.
The Casebook – University of Leeds
A web-based system for the submission and display of learning and teaching case studies at the Univeristy of Leeds. The developed system incorporates on-line submission, advanced search facilities, tag clouds and customised RSS feeds .
PhysioUK
Our most ambitious project to date being a complex on-line system for the management and sale of face-to-face courses for a leading healthcare education provider. The site incorporates on-line payment, automated emails, personal accounts with enrolment information and downloads, automated certificate generation and much more.
International Staff – University of Leeds
A JISC funded project to develop a comprehensive resource for international academic staff seeking work and in position within UK Higher Education. The site includes a simple content management system, login areas for subscribing institutions to add their own information and an on-line forum.
Paediatric Neurology Module – Sheffield Hallam University
Working within a very tight time schedule Webducate worked closely with academic staff to realise their concepts and ideas for a new on-line MSc module.
